Karma for the beginner

Karma put simply, is the result you get from something you have done or not done in the past.

It can be as simple as not looking where you are going and walking into someone.

It can also be as complex as who you are and the lessons that you encounter in this lifetime.

The one factor that must be recognised at all times is that you are entirely responsible for your own Karma no-one else is.

So, if you are responsible for your Karma, it stands to reason that the only person who can get rid of your Karma, is You.

Karma is fluid and is always in action in our lives, so if you change, you create different karma.

The beauty of this is if you dont like the outcome of your actions, change your actions and you change the outcome, or your Karma.

One general misconception about Karma that a lot of people subscribe to, is that we inherit bad karma from previous lives.

This belief would indicate that Karma is stored for future payback.   My experience shows that people are the sum of all their parts at this moment in time.  Karma is always working in the present with nothing stored for the future.

Your genetics and your upbringing all dictate the Karma you encounter at a given moment in time, but, and this is the big but, through changing yourself today, you change your Karma.

Not all changes have to be big, start on the little things. For all of us there are areas where we don't like the outcomes we are currently achieving,  so just change a little bit today.

One of the other things I have come to recognise about Karma is that our thoughts and our perceptions also create Karma. This is how creative visualtion works, your thoughts your fears really do become manifest through the law of Karma.

So what I would suggest to you is, today, write down a list of the things that you would have liked to achieve in the next three months and, through doing this, you start to make Karma work for you.

Always
