Understanding Karma

Karma is a misunderstood concept by many, yet it is in continual action in our lives and it is the foudation of everything that happens to us.

The easiest way to understand Karma is to use this ananology. You plant a Tomato seed and it grows into a tomato plant producing fruit.

It is as simple and complex as that!

Now suppose you surround that seed planting it in fertalised soil, protect it from the frost, keep it warm and norished with water and fertiliser, put it in a sunny position and support it with a stake whilst it is growing. What then will be the outcome? The production of fruit will easily double.

Yet if you take the opposite approach to growing the tomato seed you will be very lucky if you ever get a plant let alone fruit and if you do, the fruit itself will be worthless.

And so it is with life

Every situation in our lives is the equivilent of that ripe tomato the rewards of our actions if you like.

Now you have a little understanding of Karma let us move on.

How to work with Karma to get the results you want.

The seed is the equivilent to our thoughts.

The soil we plant the seed in is the equivilent to our expectations of the outcome.

The frost is the equivilent of other peoples negitivity towards you

The sun is the positivity that other people direct to you

The fertiliser is the equvilent of you spiritual strength

The water is the equivilent to contol, too much need to control the outcome and the plant will die too little and again the plant will not flourish. Here we need to replace control with trust trust that the devine will water the plant with just the right amount of water.

And finally we come to the stake which for me symbolises the fact that Karma is Organic and grows in way that always produces unexpected results however we must also recognise that we are responsible for our own spiritual growth and that the stake that allows further growth is is aour certainty the we are resonsible for all our actions and thus responsible for everything that happens to us.

So now what do I need to do to to the outcomes I want

1, Start by creating thoughts and then witing these thoughts down on a piece of paper. Through this act you you are planting the seed of an idea.
2, Surround yourself with people who are positive, and do not have a need to control you.
3, Trust and beleive the outcome will be positive to you and others.
4, Do not try to control the outcome, accept that the universe will create the outcome that is most beneficial to you.
5, Accept that like nature the most beautiful ideas always grow in an organic way producing unpredictability.
6, Accept that people will come into your life who will show you the way forward.
7, If you do not like the outcomes of your actions, change your actions so that the harvest will be bountiful

Always
